In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, she advocated for an economic recovery plan, the "Just Recovery" that recognizes the impact of the pandemic on girls and women. In 2021, she co-founded the Black Feminist Fund alongside Tynesha McHarris and Amina Doherty; the philanthropic fund is backed, in part by the Ford Foundation. P
