Habib Tanious Shartouni is a Lebanese convicted assassin of the president-elect Bachir Gemayel, and leader of theLebanese Forces in 14 September, 1982. Shartouni who is a member of the Syrian Social Nationalist Party (SSNP), placed a bomb in the Kataeb Party headquarters in Beirut, where Gemayel was meeting with party members.
