text: Gregory Knight was an English first-class cricketer. Knight was born in Leicestershire at Kilby in April 1832, and was later educated at Harrow School. He played first-class cricket for the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) in 1853, against Cambridge University at Fenner's. Batting twice in the match, he was dismissed for 5 runs in the MCC first innings by Charles Pontifex, while in their second innings he was dismissed by Ward Maule for 2 runs.
