Glycosylphosphatidylinositol anchor attachment 1 protein is a protein that in humans is encoded by the GPAA1 gene. Posttranslational glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI) anchor attachment serves as a general mechanism for linking proteins to the cell surface membrane.
