text: The Goodere baronetcy, "of Burhope in the County of Hereford", was a title in the Baronetage of Great Britain. It was created on 5 December 1707 for Edward Goodere, of Burhope/Burghope House in the parish of Wellington, Herefordshire, later a Member of Parliament for Evesham and Herefordshire. His son, the second Baronet, was childless and devised his estates to his sister's children and not to his younger brother, Samuel Goodere. Samuel, a captain in the Royal Navy, had his brother murdered in
