Its seat is the town of Dobra, which lies approximately 15 kilometres (9 mi) south-east of Turek and 128 km (80 mi) south-east of the regional capital Poznań. The gmina covers an area of 131.79 square kilometres (50.9 sq mi), and as of 2006 its total population is 6,368.
