Giełczyn is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Łomża, within Łomża County, Podlaskie Voivodeship, in north-eastern Poland. It lies approximately 6 kilometres (4 mi) south of Łomża and 74 km (46 mi) west of the regional capital Białystok. The village is located at the north-eastern edge of a large forest complex known as the Red Wood, a place of Polish and Jewish martyrology during World War II.
