text: Sir George Frederic Still, KCVO was an English paediatrician who helped to establish paediatrics as a new discipline. He was the author of five medical textbooks, and publisher of hundreds of papers. Still first described a form of juvenile idiopathic arthritis as well as the common functional Still's murmur, both of which bear his name. He was also one of the first to describe ADHD. He is frequently referred to as the "Father of British Paediatrics".
