George Francis O'Shaunessy was an American politician. He was born in 1868 in Galway, Ireland and immigrated to New York in 1872. After attending Columbia College Law School, he was admitted to the bar of New York in 1889. He served as deputy attorney general of New York in 1904 and 1905 and as assistant corporation counsel of New York City in 1906. He moved to Rhode Island in 1907 and was elected as a Democrat to Congress representing Rhode Island's 1st Congressional District in 1910. He remain
