Geoffrey John Cuming was a Church of England clergyman, liturgist, and music historian. After being permanently injured during his British Army service prior to the Battle of Arnhem, Cuming was ordained a priest. He authored and edited several nonfiction texts on music and Christianity. During and after Second World War, Cuming collaborated with Francis F. Clough to compile the World's Encyclopedia of Recorded Music, a major discography first published in 1952.
