text: Gęsiniec is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Strzelin, within Strzelin County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland. From 1867 to 1945, it was in Germany. It lies approximately 2 kilometres (1 mi) south of Strzelin, and 41 kilometres (25 mi) southwest of the regional capital Wrocław. Gęsiniec was settled in 1750 by Hussites, whose religious faith was based on the writings of Jan Hus, a Czech religious reformer and priest who was burnt at the stake as a heretic. It
