Górne is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Gołdap, within Gołdap County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in north-eastern Poland, close to the border with the Kaliningrad Oblast of Russia. It lies approximately 11 kilometres (7 mi) south-east of Gołdap and 139 km (86 mi) north-east of the regional capital Olsztyn. It is located in the historic region of Masuria. For centuries, the population of the village was Polish by ethnicity, and Protestant by confession. The local church was
