The French tariff of 1881 was a tariff passed by the National Assembly of the French Third Republic that became law on 7 May 1881. The Minister of Agriculture and Commerce, Marie Camille Alfred, vicomte de Meaux, relied on the ministry's secretary, Jules Ozenne, and the general director of customs, Léon Amé, to help formulate the government's tariff policy.
