Alfred "Fred" Jarvis was a cricketer who played first-class cricket for South Australia from 1889 to 1906. He was the younger brother of the Test player Affie Jarvis. Fred Jarvis was an all-rounder who often opened the bowling and batted at various places in the order. He and George Giffen bowled unchanged to dismiss New South Wales for 62 in Sydney in 1891-92 to give South Australia an innings victory; Jarvis took 5 for 33. His highest first-class score was 154 against New South Wales in 1897-9
