In Buddhism, the Four Noble Truths are "the truths of the noble one," a statement of how things really are when seen correctly. These are among the core teachings of the Buddha explicating that attachment or clinging is the cause of dukkha, but that there is a path of development which leads to awakening and full liberation from dukkha.
