Feliks Franz Xaver Kreutz was a Polish geologist, mineralogist and rector of the Jagiellonian University from 1896 to 1897. He was born at Nowy Sącz, and after studying at Lviv (Lemberg), Kraków (Krakau) and Vienna, was attached during 1867–1868 to the Austrian Geological Survey. In 1875, he founded the Polish Copernicus Society of Naturalists. He was successively Professor of Mineralogy in the High School and the University of Lemberg, and the Jagellonian University at Kraków. From the last pos
