Escolca, Iscroca in sardinian language, is a comune (municipality) in the Province of South Sardinia in the Italian region Sardinia, located about 50 kilometres (31 mi) north of Cagliari. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 652 and an area of 14.7 square kilometres (5.7 sq mi). Geographically it is located in the Sarcidano sub-region which extends between the territories of Campidano, that of Marmilla and that of Barbagia. Inside there are three artificial lakes of Mulargia, Flumendos
