Eleni Gebrehiwot is a German long-distance runner. She became German citizen in 2014. On 8 September 2014 she won the 12 edition of the Münster Marathon in record time of 2:29:12 h. It was also the fulfilment of the qualification time for the 2014 European Athletics Championships in Zurich. Unfortunately she did not participate in this race because of problems with her right Achilles tendon.
