Edwin (Ted) Bergin is a US astrophysicist who is currently the Professor of Astronomy at the University of Michigan (2019). He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and awarded a BS in Astronomy at Villanova University in 1989 and a PhD at the University of Massachusetts in 1995. After five years as a research assistant at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst (1990–95), he was appointed astronomer/astrophysicist at the Center for Astrophysics | Harvard & Smithsonian.
