Edward Alfred Anstey was an Australian politician who represented the South Australian House of Assembly multi-member seats of Adelaide from 1908 to 1915 and North Adelaide from 1915 to 1921. He represented the United Labor Party until 1917, when he joined the National Party. Anstey was born at Port Elliot, where he was educated at the local public school. He was a carpenter by trade, apprenticing locally before moving to Adelaide at the age of 24. He went into business as a builder and contract
