Sir Edmund Ludlow was an English landowner and politician who sat in the House of Commons at various times between 1571 and 1622. Ludlow was born before 1548, the eldest son of George Ludlow of Hill Deverill, Wiltshire, and his wife Edith, daughter of Andrew Windsor, 1st Baron Windsor of Stanwell, Middlesex. In 1571, he was elected Member of Parliament for Old Sarum. He succeeded to the estates of his father in June 1580 and was a J.P. for Wiltshire from that time on. He was High Sheriff of Wilt
