Edinburgh North and Leith is a constituency of the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom, first used in the 1997 general election. It elects one Member of Parliament (MP) by the first past the post system of election. In 1999, a Scottish Parliament constituency was created with the same name and boundaries. See Edinburgh North and Leith. The boundaries of the Westminster constituency were altered, however, in 2005, and the Scottish Parliament constituency retained the older bo
