The Eastern Shore of Virginia National Wildlife Refuge is a 1,127-acre (4.56 km2) wildlife refuge located in Northampton County, Virginia, at the southern end of the Eastern Shore and near the tip of the Delmarva Peninsula. It is managed by the United States Fish and Wildlife Service. The refuge was established in 1984; much of its land was previously part of Fort John Custis, a base used by the United States Army 1941–1948 and the United States Air Force from 1948 until 1981.
