title:
Earth's ambipolar electric field
text:
Earth's ambipolar electric field is an electric field ambipolar diffusion, inflates the ionosphere and generates the polar wind. The field was measured in 2022 by a sounding rocket launched from Svalbard. This NASA mission was called Endurance. The potential drop from 250 to 768 kilometres of altitude was found to be +0.55 volt with an uncertainty of 0.09 volt.
