Eamon Kissane was an Irish Fianna Fáil politician who served as Parliamentary Secretary to the Taoiseach and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Defence from 1943 to 1948, and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Lands from February 1943 to July 1943. He served as a Senator from 1951 to 1965 and a Teachta Dála (TD) from 1932 to 1951. A member of a prosperous farming family in Newtownsandes in north County Kerry, he joined the Irish Volunteers and was elected to Kerry County Counci
