Dypsis canaliculata
text:
Dypsis canaliculata is a species of flowering plant in the family Arecaceae. It is found only in Madagascar, where it is thought that fewer than 10 individual plants exist. It was previously collected from two disjunct populations, one in Manongarivo and one in Ampasimanolotra. Both were growing on sandstone in lowland forest regions. In 2001 another small population was discovered in Zahamena National Park, and this is now the only known surviving group. To date no flowers from D. canaliculata
