The Dover 400 was a NASCAR Cup Series stock car race held annually at Dover International Speedway in Dover, Delaware, from 1971 to 2020. It was the second of two Cup Series races at the 1-mile concrete oval during that time. Held in the fall, the race was part of the NASCAR playoffs from their start in 2004 until 2020, when the race was moved to the penultimate weekend of the regular season. However, that event then became part of a doubleheader with the rescheduled spring race in August due to
