Dmitrovsky District is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-four in Oryol Oblast, Russia. It is located in the southwest of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,249.8 square kilometers (482.6 sq mi). Its administrative center is the town of Dmitrovsk. Population: 12,196; 15,841 (2002 Census); 18,217 (1989 Soviet census). The population of Dmitrovsk accounts for 46.3% of the district's total population.
