Dinko Šakić was a Croatian Ustaše official who commanded the Jasenovac concentration camp in the Independent State of Croatia (NDH) from April to November 1944, during World War II. 2,000 people died at the camp while it was under his command. In 1945, Šakić fled from Croatia. In 1947, Šakić started a textile business in Argentina, where he lived for the next 43 years under his own name.
