Dekina is a local government area in Kogi State, Nigeria. Its headquarters are in the town of Dekina, on the A233 highway in the Middle Belt area at 7°41′41″N 7°01′20″E. The northeasterly line of equal latitude and longitude passes through the southeast of the LGA. It has an area of 2,461 km2 (950 sq mi) and a population of 260,312 at the 2006 census.
