Dean Oldershaw is a Canadian sprint canoeist and kayaker who competed in the early to mid-1970s. At the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, he was eliminated in the semifinals of the K-1 1000 m and K-4 1000 m events. Four years later in Montreal, Oldershaw was eliminated in the semifinals of the K-1 500 m event. Over the course of his competitive career, Oldershaw has won 15 North American Championships and 75 Canadian Championships, a national record until broken by his nephew, Mark Oldershaw in 20
