David Mauricio Mier y Terán Cuevas is a windsurfer from Mexico. Mier was born in Mérida, Yucatán. He began practicing windsurfing at the age of 14, and participated in his first competition at age 15. He has participated at the 2000, 2004, 2008, 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics. Mier finished 17th in the men's sailboard event at the 2008 Olympics. In his previous Olympic appearances, he finished 25th in 2000 and 16th in 2004.
