David F. Graf, is an American historian, archeologist, academic and author. He is a Professor Emeritus at the University of Miami. Graf is most known for his work on the Greco-Roman Near East. His studies on Greek Persian relations stem from his Ph.D. dissertation in 1979. He later authored the book Rome and the Arabian Frontier: From the Nabataeans to the Saracens.
