The Davenport Hawkeyes were a minor league baseball team based in Davenport, Iowa. In 1888 and 1889, the Hawkeyes were charter members of the independent level Central Interstate League, winning the league's first championship in 1888. The Hawkeyes were preceded by the first minor league team in Davenport, the 1879 Davenport "Brown Stockings" of the Northwestern League.
