David Patrick Griffin, known professionally as Dave Lee Travis, is an English former disc jockey, and former television presenter. Travis began his broadcasting career on the pirate radio station Radio Caroline in 1965. He moved to BBC Radio 1, where he became one of the station's leading presenters during the 1970s and 1980s. He was a frequent presenter of BBC1 TV series Top of the Pops. Following his resignation from the BBC in 1993, he worked for several British commercial radio stations. In
