Cueva Grande is a village in the municipality of Valparaíso, State of Zacatecas, Mexico. The village has 235 inhabitants and is located 2,040 meters (6,690 ft) above sea level. The village is full of diverse people and rich with culture. there are celebrations year round topped with the biggest of them all a yearly celebration August 30th. this symbolic date is celebrated year after year when descendants now living in the US all make the trip down to their hometown to join in on the Rodeo.
