Cossombrato is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Asti in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 35 kilometres (22 mi) east of Turin and about 12 kilometres (7 mi) northwest of Asti. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 493 and an area of 5.3 square kilometres (2.0 sq mi). Cossombrato borders the following municipalities: Asti, Castell'Alfero, Chiusano d'Asti, Corsione, Montechiaro d'Asti, and Villa San Secondo.
