text: The Corongo Province is one of 20 provinces of the Ancash Region in Peru. Its capital is Corongo located at an altitude of 3,141 m (10,305 ft). Corongo is situated in a calm valley where the river of the same name runs. It is bordered by the following provinces: to the north and to the west by Pallasca, to the east by Sihuas and to the south by Huaylas and Santa.
