text: The Conférence Française de Scoutisme is a French Scouting federation, founded in 2000 and serving about 35,000 members of both genders. The CFS is not a member of either the World Organization of the Scout Movement or the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts. Aims of the federation are the common use of its members' possibilities, the preservation of necessary public space for Scouting and the defense of Traditional Scouting developed by Robert Baden-Powell.
