Concentration of People's Forces
text:
The Concentration of People's Forces was a populist political party in Ecuador. It was founded in 1949 and played a major role in Ecuadorian politics of the 1960s and 1970s, with its stronghold being in Guayaquil. Jaime Roldós Aguilera, a member of the party, was the country's president from 1979 to 1981. Since the end of the 1980s, it has fallen into insignificance. Many in the party leadership are of Lebanese descent and developed a power base in support of popular figures turned politicians.
