As of May 2010 the CEP is a consortium of thirteen partners: Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe BVG, BMW, Daimler, Ford, GM/Opel, Hamburger Hochbahn, Linde Group, Royal Dutch Shell, Statoil, Total, Toyota, Vattenfall Europe, and Volkswagen Group.
