Christine Choi Yuk-lin, is the current Secretary for Education in Hong Kong, formerly the principal of Fukien Secondary School and vice-chairlady of Hong Kong Federation of Education Workers. Choi ran in two elections in 2016 but was both defeated. She was also appointed as government committee members. Her negative remarks on Cantonese, the mother language of Hongkongers, was slammed by some critics.
