Charlton W. Tebeau (1904–2000) was the former chairperson of the department of history and a professor of history at the University of Miami and an American historian and author who specialized in the history of Florida. Born in Springfield, Georgia, Tebeau earned a bachelor's degree from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and master's and doctoral degrees from The State University of Iowa.
