text: Cecil Brownlow Twisleton Wykeham Fiennes was an English first-class cricketer and clergyman. The son of Frederick Fiennes and his wife, Emily Wingfield, he was born in August 1831 at Adlestrop, Gloucestershire. He was educated at Winchester College, before matriculating at New College, Oxford in 1852, graduating B.A. and M.A. in 1859. He made his debut in first-class cricket for the Gentlemen of England against the Gentlemen of Kent and Surrey at Canterbury in 1855. He played first-class cricket
