text: Catoryctis subparallela is a moth in the family Xyloryctidae. It was described by Francis Walker in 1864. It is found in Australia, where it has been recorded from New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia. The wingspan is 17–21 mm. The forewings are brownish ochreous, golden tinged with a slender silvery-white attenuated streak immediately beneath the costa from near the base to beyond the middle and a whitish line from beneath this at one-third to the costa at three-fourths, and another
