text: The Carolean Express is a named British passenger train operated by LNER. It is operated by Class 801s between London King's Cross and Edinburgh Waverley via the East Coast Main Line. The term Carolean refers to the reign of Charles III, and was first used during the reign of Charles II (1660–1685). The service was introduced on 6 May 2023 when LNER named its 11:00 service on the same day as the Coronation of Charles III and Camilla. It calls at York, Darlington, Newcastle and Berwick-upon-Tweed
