Cariu is a town and an administrative district in the Bogor Regency, West Java, Indonesia. The district is part of the Greater Jakarta metropolitan area, and covers a land area of 84.81 km. It had a population of 46,186 at the 2010 Census and 51,619 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 54,077, comprising 27,073 males and 27,004 females. The district centre is at the town of Cariu, and the district is sub-divided into ten villages (desa), all sharing the postcode of 16840
