Carey Belle Maddox-Preston was an American social worker. From 1949 to 1974, she was the first executive director of Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority. She was also president of the board of directors of the Chicago Urban League, from 1970 to 1973, and an appointed member of the Chicago Board of Education from 1968 to 1980.
