text: Carex acocksii is a tussock-forming species of perennial sedge in the family Cyperaceae. It is native to the Cape Provinces area of South Africa. It has an erect and tufted habit with a height of around 46 cm (18 in) with cylindrical stems that have a diameter of about 1 mm (0.039 in) and channel bladed leaves that are about half the length of the stems and have a width of 0.75 mm (0.030 in).
