Carbon Run is a tributary of Shamokin Creek in Northumberland County, Pennsylvania, in the United States. It is approximately 5.2 miles (8.4 km) long and flows through Zerbe Township, Coal Township, and Shamokin. The watershed of the stream has an area of 8.78 square miles (22.7 km2). Carbon Run is impaired due to metals from acid mine drainage, which colors the stream orange. Metals such as manganese, iron, aluminum, and others occur within its water.
